]]> Sky Stage is both a large-scale public art installation and outdoor amphitheater, located at 59 South Carroll Street in downtown Frederick. Its design, which repurposes a Revolutionary War-era building, is the work of artist Heather Clark, with assistance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Digital Structures research group. Its operations and programming are managed by the Arts Council. At Sky Stage, one can experience anything from salsa under the stars to yoga to independent film to children’s storytime. The venue can also be rented for weddings and corporate events.
