The SEWcial Café is a designer-led sewing studio and creative community where women learn to design and sew their own wardrobe. Through guided experiences, we help women reconnect with their creativity, build confidence, and create clothing that reflects their personal style and fits their lives.

Founded by fashion designer and researcher Dr. ChaCha, The SEWcial Café blends technical skill-building with a supportive, community-centered environment so women don’t have to do it alone.

This space is for women who:

  • appreciate fashion and thoughtful design
  • want to feel confident creating clothes they actually love to wear
  • are ready to prioritize themselves without guilt
  • value learning from an expert with real industry experience

You may be new to sewing or returning after a long break. Either way, you’re not here to rush or prove anything. You’re here to build your wardrobe, one beautiful garment at a time.

]]> CAFÉ 611 is owned by Frederick residents Randy and Karen Jones.  Randy, a former Frederick County High School Football coach and member of the US Armed Forces is a self made businessman, seizing the opportunity to buy the restaurant at 611 Market Street in 2006.  After extensive renovation and preparation, CAFÉ 611 was opened in the early Spring 2007.   Sons, Renell and Randell and daughter Tiffany assist their mother and father in daily operations of CAFÉ 611, which adds to the flavor of this cozy, family-owned cafe at the end of Market Street in Downtown Frederick.
