The SEWcial Café is a designer-led sewing studio and creative community where women learn to design and sew their own wardrobe. Through guided experiences, we help women reconnect with their creativity, build confidence, and create clothing that reflects their personal style and fits their lives.

Founded by fashion designer and researcher Dr. ChaCha, The SEWcial Café blends technical skill-building with a supportive, community-centered environment so women don’t have to do it alone.

This space is for women who:

  • appreciate fashion and thoughtful design
  • want to feel confident creating clothes they actually love to wear
  • are ready to prioritize themselves without guilt
  • value learning from an expert with real industry experience

You may be new to sewing or returning after a long break. Either way, you’re not here to rush or prove anything. You’re here to build your wardrobe, one beautiful garment at a time.

Don’t miss trying our hand-breaded fish tacos, topped with radishes, cabbage, and served with cilantro salsa on the side, or our tacos al pastor, which is a combination of spicy marinated pork and pineapple, served on soft corn tortillas and topped with onions, cilantro, and fresh lime. Our salsa verde and salsa roja hot sauces are freshly made in-house of genuine Mexican ingredients, including tomatillos, jalapenos, guajillo chiles and chile de arbol. Our meats are all hand-cut, marinaded to perfection, and served on tacos or on a massive torta sandwich. The infamous torta cubana is a combination of steak, spicy pork, ham, hot dog, egg, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion, jalapeno, and avocado.
